Hard Chrome Plating

The Chromium coating is a desirable solution due to its inherent protective and corrosion-resistant characteristics. Hard Chrome can be applied to all types of stainless steel alloys, ferrous and nonferrous metals including copper and brass. In certain cases, chrome plating is replaced by tungsten carbide when the pitting depth on the rotor is found to be higher than that recommended for hard chrome plating.

Regularly plated components include:

Oil field equipments

  • Mud pump rotors
  • Mandrels
  • Mandrel extensions
  • Drive shafts

Marine & Hydraulic components

  • Rotary cylinders
  • Ram shafts
  • Plungers
  • Piston rods
  • Hydraulic cylinders
